JavaScript / TypeScript Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a JavaScript / TypeScript Automation Engineer to join our Delivery Team.

Our platform is an agent orchestration system. It allows users to run AI and non-AI agents that automate and simplify real-world business processes. These agents can perform tasks such as:

• Browser and UI automation
• AI-driven workflows and OCR
• File and data manipulation
• System and application integrations

As part of the Delivery Team, you will build custom agents for customers using our internal SDK and orchestration platform. Each customer’s engagement is unique, with different challenges and different systems.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automation agents using TypeScript
• Implement browser automation using tools like Puppeteer or Playwright
• Integrate AI, OCR, file handling, and system-level automation into workflows
• Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Debug and troubleshoot complex automation scenarios in real environments
• Collaborate closely with product, platform, and other delivery engineers
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement

Must-Have Skills

• Strong JavaScript experience, with a clear preference for TypeScript
• Our production codebase is TypeScript-first
• Strong TypeScript skills are a significant advantage
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and HTTP-based interactions
• Excellent English communication skills
• This is a customer-facing role
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Puppeteer and/or Playwright
• Node.js experience
• Familiarity with XPath or DOM-based automation techniques
• Experience working in product companies
• Exposure to Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)

Bonus Points

• Experience across the full development lifecycle (design, development, testing, reviews, delivery)
• Comfort working on ambiguous problems with evolving requirements
• Interest in AI-powered automation and modern developer tooling
• Previous experience building automation, bots, scrapers, or RPA-like solutions
