style="mso-bidi-font-weight:bold;">Looking for an API by Design Expert with strong expertise in API-first architecture, design governance, and lifecycle management, ensuring standardized, secure, and reusable API solutions across enterprise platforms<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul><p><strong>Key Result Area:</strong></p><ul><li>Establish and enforce <strong data-start="821" data-end="877">API design guidelines, standards, and best practices</strong> (REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event-driven, etc.).</li><li>Create and manage <strong data-start="945" data-end="977">design governance frameworks</strong> to ensure APIs meet enterprise quality, security, and compliance standards</li><li>Drive <strong data-start="1099" data-end="1128">API-first design approach</strong> using tools such as Swagger, Postman, Stoplight, or Apigee.</li><li>Ensure proper documentation, discoverability, and versioning of APIs.</li><li>Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to translate requirements into <strong data-start="1481" data-end="1512">well-designed API contracts</strong></li><li>Conduct <strong data-start="1528" data-end="1560">design reviews and workshops</strong> with cross-functional teams</li><li>Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to <strong data-start="2031" data-end="2074">continuously evolve API design strategy</strong></li><li>Ensure APIs are designed for <strong data-start="1656" data-end="1701">reusability, scalability, and reliability</strong></li><li>Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate<strong data-start="1656" data-end="1701"> API specifications into CI/CD pipelines.</strong></li></ul><p></p>About you<p><strong>Educational Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject</li><li>Any Public Cloud Architect level Certification (Preferred)</li><li>Any Programming Language certification</li><li>ITIL Certification</li></ul><p><strong>Relevant Cloud and API Service deployment through native tools</span></li></ul><p><strong>Desired skills/knowledge:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong expertise in <strong data-start="94" data-end="135">API-first and design-first approaches</strong> (OpenAPI/Swagger, AsyncAPI, RAML).</li><li>Hands-on experience with <strong data-start="200" data-end="261">REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and event-driven API design patterns</strong>.</li><li>Deep understanding of <strong data-start="289" data-end="317">API lifecycle management</strong>, including versioning, discoverability, and governance.</li><li>Proficiency in <strong data-start="393" data-end="421">API management platforms</strong> (Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, Azure API Management, AWS API Gateway, etc.).</li><li>Knowledge of <strong data-start="510" data-end="532">security standards</strong> (OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, API rate limiting, throttling).</li><li>Experience with <strong data-start="623" data-end="662">cloud-native and hybrid integration</strong> across hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).</li><li>Familiarity with <strong data-start="728" data-end="756">DevOps/CI-CD integration</strong> for API specifications and automated testing.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong data-start="831" data-end="861">microservices architecture</strong> and domain-driven design.</li><li>Ability to <strong data-start="903" data-end="971">conduct design reviews, workshops, and evangelize best practices</strong> across teams.</li><li>Excellent <strong data-start="1000" data-end="1067">communication, documentation, and
