Role Description
Lenovo’s consumer business in West India is at an inflection point, and we’re looking for a seasoned channel sales leader who knows how to build share, scale partners, and run a tight operation across distribution and retail.
This role owns end-to-end sales performance across LES, LMB and RD partners, with a clear mandate: grow footprint, win share, and lead execution on the ground.
The responsibilities of the role
You are going to be the one to promote sell-out and sell-in through all channels while at the same time increasing Lenovo’s visibility in the market by means of exclusive brand shops, multibrand counters, and big MBOs. The role demands both high-level and practical execution, from market expansion and partner productivity to daily operational hygiene with secondary partners.
You will be the one to set goals for volumes, revenues, market shares, profits, and regional penetrations with an emphasis on growth areas such as AI PCs, Gaming, and Yoga. Having in-depth knowledge of the category is important because not only notebooks, AIOs, tablets, and accessories but also TDT and visual products will be part of the mix.
You are going to manage people. In other words, you will be driving sales through ASOs, DSMs, ISDs, team leaders and retail staff while at the same time taking care of product placements, trainings, and partner relationships across the territory.
Accurate forecasting, managing inventory, competitive intelligence, and disciplined joint business planning are a must. This role is all about the numbers and the strategy behind it.
What we’re looking for
An MBA with about 10+ years of experience in consumer technology or a related industry, preferably PC or telecom. The candidate should have comprehensive B2C channel sales experience, manage both direct and indirect teams and have a record of success in growing share in difficult RTM environments.
If you are the one who likes to be very close to the market, is well acquainted with partners, and can turn strategy into execution without losing pace, you will be absolutely perfect.
