About The Corporate Development (“CD”) Team
CD is the global team responsible for implementing Cognizant’s M&A strategy and inorganic growth mandates. The CD team works across the entire value chain of M&A including sourcing, execution, and value capture and integration. We work in tandem with our Business Unit partners and corporate functions within Cognizant to realize our inorganic goals around growth and differentiation.
Over the past 6 years we have completed over 30 acquisitions globally deploying approximately $7 billion of capital and we have committed to making further acquisitions that strengthen our position across strategically important markets, industries and service offerings.
CD is strengthening its global presence by establishing an India based team with focus on strategic commercial due diligence (SDD), value capture (VC) and post-merger integration (PMI) capabilities.
Who Are We Looking For
CD is a high-impact function within Cognizant. We are responsible for high stakes transactions, and we regularly interface with senior executives in that context. We are looking for hands-on team members who are creative with a problem-solving mentality and a nuanced understanding of risk. We are a small but global team that works in a very collegial environment; successful candidates will find a platform for personal and professional growth within CD.
Location: Bangalore
As a Senior Manager/Associate Director in the Value Capture team within Corporate Development, you will support global M&A initiatives across the deal lifecycle. You will work closely with the deal execution, due diligence, integration and cross-functional teams to help identify, plan, and track value creation opportunities from acquisitions. This is a high-impact role offering exposure to strategic projects, senior stakeholders, and global business units.
Your Key Responsibilities
Pre-Deal Support
Assist in research and analysis to support the identification of revenue and cost synergy opportunities
Contribute to the development of post-deal joint client propositions and operating model frameworks
Support the preparation of internal presentations and documentation for executive stakeholders
Post-Deal Execution
Help track progress against value capture plans, including synergy realization and KPI monitoring
Collaborate with business units, delivery, and functional teams to gather data and insights
Support the integration team in aligning execution with the value capture roadmap
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work extensively with the sponsoring BU leaders in both pre and post-deal world and become closely involved with delivery, operations and corporate functional leaders post-close in delivering the value capture plan
Work closely with Strategic Due Diligence, Sourcing & Execution, and Post-Merger Integration teams within Corporate Development
Additional Responsibilities Include
Assist in preparing materials for Executive Leadership, Investment Committee, and Board-level reviews.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the M&A value capture playbook and tools.

What You Bring ToThe Table
Industry Experience: Business services, Technology services or other professional services experience essential
Functional Experience: Prior experience in business strategy, revenue and cost synergy identification/planning/tracking, and commercial due diligence with a top-tier consulting firm or from another multi-geo global organization
Years of Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience
Education: BA or BS Economics, Finance, or other relevant business degree; MBA preferred but not required; CA, CPA, CFA or other relevant professional/ post-graduate qualification desirable
