Mission



The main mission of the AI-driven NMS (Network Management System) Engineer for Mobile Core Networks is to innovate and optimize the management of mobile core networks through advanced AI-driven solutions. Key objectives include enhancing operational efficiency, minimizing network downtime, and enabling proactive maintenance to ensure seamless service delivery.



Main activities



  • Coordinate the development of the required NMS tools enhanced with AI Algorithms including monitoring, inventory, logs collection, backup/restore, ticketing, change management, probes, tracing, mirroring, robots, and automation of configuration and provisioning.
  • Implement Automation Frameworks: Build and integrate automation workflows that enable real-time data collection, analysis, and decision-making processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Proactive Network Monitoring: Develop systems that continuously monitor network health, performance metrics, and traffic patterns, providing actionable insights and alerts to network operators. Develop operator dashboards with intelligent alerting, correlation insights, and action suggestions.
  • Design and Develop AI Algorithms: Create sophisticated machine learning models and AI algorithms tailored to network data, capable of predicting network behavior, detecting anomalies, and identifying potential faults before they escalate.
  • Anomaly Detection and Prediction: Design of NMS modules capable of auto-detection, classification, and correlation of alarms and KPIs. Utilize advanced analytics to identify unusual network activity or performance degradation, enabling rapid response and mitigation strategies.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Employ machine learning techniques to analyze complex network issues, pinpoint root causes, and suggest corrective actions, thereby minimizing downtime and service disruptions.
  • Deployment and Operationalization: Work on deploying AI models into production environments, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and maintainable, with proper integration into existing network management platforms.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Partner with network engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions, while maintaining comprehensive documentation and providing training to operational staff.

About you

Within OINIS/ Services, the “Mobile Services” department is responsible for the architecture, engineering, the construction, deployment and operation of all international mobile services (roaming, messaging, 5G CNaaS), which are one of the growth drivers for international wholesale. The department's ambition is to drive the software transformation of mobile services as part of the move to 5G.



The Mobile Core Network Team oversees the architecture, engineering, deployment, and operation of a Mobile Core Network.

Required Skills:



  • Deep understanding of NMS architectures, tools, operational processes and linked TM Forum specifications.
  • Demonstrable experience working with network management systems, particularly within mobile core networks such as LTE/EPC and 5G SA.
  • Experience in integrating NMS tools with IT systems, operational support platforms, and security frameworks.
  • Knowledge of LTE/5G architectures, engineering concepts and troubleshooting methods specific to 4G and 5G networks. Knowledge of 3GPP standards related to mobile core networks.
  • Practical knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 architectures, including IP routing, QoS, MPLS, and VPN technologies.
  • Awareness of security measures and technologies pertinent to mobile core networks.
  • Experience in support activities for operational networks.
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
  • Practical experience with data analytics, scripting, and automation frameworks, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
  • Prior experience in deploying AI models in production environments and maintaining their performance over time is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.French speaking will be a plus.
