We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our dynamic team in the advertising industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial reporting. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze financial data effectively. The General Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and manage accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
2. Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and accounting standards.
4. Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning.
6. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
7. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of payments and collections.
8. Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
9. Provide support during financial audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
10. Continuously seek improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar role within the advertising or related industry.
2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
3. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and reports.
4. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
5. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
8. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
9. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
10. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
