Today, we are looking to hire an experienced Power System Modelling & Simulation Expert (PSSE) to join our Team Egypt out of Cairo office. Key Responsibilities Take technical ownership of developing and maintaining data model interfaces for Siemens’ core power system simulation tool, PSSE. Enhance and optimize existing data model interfaces for User-Defined Models (UDMs) in PSSE, including understanding, interpreting, and converting these models via programming tools to updated versions. Design and implement new data model converters to support the integration between PSS®E and external simulation environments or databases. Apply knowledge of power system planning, operation, and analysis to align software development with engineering needs and customer applications. What You Bring Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering , specializing in Power Systems or Electrical Power Engineering. Holding a Master’s or Doctoral degree would be a plus. Demonstrated hands-on experience in Fortran, Python, and at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Java, or C#). Possess extensive experience in power system studies using PSS®E , including steady-state and Transient stability analysis and Simulation . Knowledge and practical experience in Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) studies using PSCAD is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
