We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer - FinOps to join our Brightly team in Cairo, Egypt. Responsibilities: Collaborate cross-functionally with both technical teams and finance/business stakeholders to translate infrastructure needs and changes into financial impacts. Own the cost management processes for cloud environments (AWS/Azure), balancing performance, reliability, and spending. Design and implement robust tagging and account structures to ensure accuracy and granularity in cost attribution. Build automation and custom reports from AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR) for enhanced visibility and actionable insights. Develop and maintain BI dashboards using tools such as Power BI, including work with DAX where needed. Script automation for cost reporting using Python and/or Bash. Drive adoption of optimization practices: rightsizing, storage tiering, spot instance usage, and autoscaling strategies to improve value. Leverage AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, CUR, Budgets, Savings Plans, RI utilization) for effective forecasting and analysis. Advocate and educate around the FinOps Framework, cloud cost culture, unit economics, and accountability practices. Regularly communicate cost insights, potential savings, and opportunities to both technical and non-technical team members. Requirements : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience as a cloud engineer and/or DevOps specialist supporting AWS/Azure/Google Cloud environments. Demonstrated ability to manage cloud infrastructure with cost, performance, and reliability in mind. Experience explaining technical cloud matters in business and financial terms to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications (one or more is highly preferred): Cloud Provider Certs (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner - Azure Administrator / Google Cloud Engineer - FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or FinOps Certified Professional . Experience with AWS CUR files and automation/reporting methodologies. Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI) and DAX for dashboard creation. Strong scripting ability in Python and/or Bash. Proven knowledge of AWS billing and cost optimization tools. Experience designing tagging/account structures and extracting data via APIs. Well-versed in FinOps methodologies: rightsizing, storage tiering, spot instances, autoscaling, cost accountability. We’re Siemens.
