The RoleProject Development is a key capability in OSI India’s project delivery function. In this role, the software developers will be taking care of 2 key aspects : a) Conversion from competitor’s systems to OSI’s monarch platform, b) Creating applications as required to meet the project technical specifications. Developers will need to work on both projects in India and across multiple global areas such as USA, Australia, Netherlands, UK.Your Impact

• Understand OSI’s monarch platform, the structure of underlying databases in SCADA/ FEP / ICCP, EMS, etc. and OSI’s proprietary CHRONUS high speed enterprise historian.
• Understand project requirements in discussion with Manager, PDEV and with other engineering teams.
• Understand structure of competitor system database, displays, enterprise historian and reports, and devise logics to convert / migrate to OSI’s platform.
• Gather technical requirements of projects for custom development, and implement backend + frontend to achieve the same.
• Automate activities in project delivery to drive higher efficiency in activities.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT)
• 1-3 years relevant work experience or relevant personal projects.
• Good understanding of procedural programming languages such as C, Python
• Object oriented programming skills, preferably with C#  or Java
• Experience in any of the following will be good to have: Asp.Net, Html/JavaScript and basic SQL
• Strong analytical, independent problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiar using Git for software development or willing to learn.
• Good design and debugging skills.
• Confidence to contribute ideas and solutions.
• Zeal to learn and make a difference.
