You will experience these qualities of passion, pride and aspiration in many ways — from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.

The RoleAs an Associate DevOps Manager for the Nexus Build team, you will lead a team responsible for deploying, configuring, and validating Nexus environments used in DGM’s customer projects. Your team will ensure that environments are built consistently and reliably across Linux, networking, middleware, and database layers—troubleshooting issues as they arise and working closely with project teams to keep delivery on track. You’ll collaborate with the broader Nexus organisation to streamline build processes, improve repeatability, and enhance stability across deployments.
A core objective of this team is to reduce environment setup time and deployment friction by improving build workflows, ensuring configuration consistency, and resolving issues proactively during environment creation. Your team plays a critical role in accelerating project delivery by ensuring high-quality, fully validated environments are ready for engineering and customer use.Your Impact
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical depth, and strong troubleshooting capability.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and validation of Nexus environments across multiple customer projects.
  • Guide the integration and testing of Linux, networking, middleware, and database components required for stable system operation.
  • Identify recurring build issues and drive improvements or automation to streamline environment setup.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure build activities align with project requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure consistent build documentation, configuration standards, and repeatable operating procedures.
  • Monitor environment health and performance during deployment, identifying opportunities for optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of build-related issues and lead root cause analysis when failures occur.
  • Promote knowledge sharing through documentation, training, and cross-team collaboration.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or environment deployment roles.
  • Experience mentoring others or acting as a go-to technical resource within a team. Prior team lead or supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proven success supporting environment builds or configuration activities in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
  • Experience working with virtualised environments, ideally on-prem (e.g., VMware vSphere/ESXi). Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) is a plus but not required.
  • Strong background in system architecture, networking, and operating systems.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Jira.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) is beneficial but hands-on development of IaC modules is not required.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Python) - enough to understand and use existing scripts and automation; no manual script development required.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • Experience managing web server technologies (e.g., nginx) and SSL certificate lifecycles.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience deploying or maintaining complex multi-node systems in telecom, enterprise IT, cloud, or other technical domains preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security best practices in operational environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and scale environment deployment processes across distributed teams preferred.
