Job Description (Role & Responsibility):
· Produce Gas Turbine component and assembly drawings and layouts from CAD models, design schemes, written or verbal instructions, using NX.
· Create and manipulate 3D parameterized CAD models, using free-form modelling / meshed surfaces.
· Work within design and multi-disciplinary project design teams to optimize design solutions within structured design processes.
· Carry out data management and workflow activities in Teamcenter environment. Create release documentation.
· Implement assembly configuration changes in Teamcenter.
Qualification and Experience required:
· B.E. / B.Tech from a recognized university with a minimum of 5 years of experience required in a design office environment or similar. Familiarity with NX.
· Previous work experience within ideally Gas Turbine industry, but experience in automotive, power or propulsion industries or similar is also suitable. Knowledge of machinery design.
· Experience of working with Teamcenter or other product lifecycle management tool.
· Knowledge of engineering drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, eg. Milling, turning, grinding and forging.
· Competence with the use of MS applications.
