Job Description Summary



This role will be responsible for working very closely with ERP IT, Global Process owner, Global Supply Chain Logistics and Business Champions to design, enhance when required and support the deployment of the global transport management solution for Novartis. You’ll be responsible to verify the Novartis core Business processes and the respective system solutions within the upcoming releases with the local business Subject Matter Expert to ensure a proper go live according to the LDC roadmap.

Job Description



Key Responsibilities:



  • Act as the responsible Solution Manager for Transport Management in close collaboration with the GPO, Business Champions and work stream lead



  • Coordination and support of project activities requiring during building the solution by working together with ERP IT to deliver solutions / functional design



  • Ensures that user requirements and functional specifications are consistent with global / local processes



  • Align and agree on the integration of relevant processes of Transport Management and their respective system solution(s) within Logistics W&D e.g. with own Warehouse but also cross-functional e.g.  in the area commercial operations, Intercompany Order Management and Direct Procurement



  • Execute business screening of IT solutions and testing of solution(s)



  • Helping to identify and update local & global SOPs, Working Instructions accordingly



  • Contribute to master data preparation for Screening, Testing and cut-over 



  • Supports cutover and hyper care phases to ensure proper go live in countries



  • Establish or update business standard operating procedures.



  • Review and adopt, if necessary, the training material and working instructions



  • Execute business screening of IT solutions and testing of solution(s)



  • Ensure that user requirements and functional specifications are consistent with global / local processes and aligned with Global functions for Transport



  • Contribute to master data preparation for Screening, Testing and cut over. 



  • Supports the adopt team to ensure proper go live of the upcoming releases.



  • Secure business reporting requirements in Transport Management together with the Reporting and Analytics team





  • Essential Requirements:



  • Experience in working in Transport Management / Logistics ideally with SAP transport management in combination with iNet / Alpega and / or experience of implementing SAP Transport Management S4 / ECC.



  • Successfully completed university degree in the fields of supply chain management, logistics, Information science or comparable training



  • Highly organized with strong orientation process / project management orientation



  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, quickly changing work environment



  • High degree of teamwork and quality orientation



  • Ability to operate in a global matrix environment



  • Very good understanding of Transport Management processes and his integration within the SC processes



  • Successfully completed university degree in the fields of supply chain management, Logistics, Information science or comparable education.



  • Ability to work independently and in a structured and careful manner.



  • Positive and pro-active attitude.



  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, quickly changing work environment.



  • High degree of teamwork and quality orientation



  • Ability to operate in a global matrix environment.



  • Project Management experience and coordinating the workload within the team
