Overview
Mastercard Payment Gateway Services is a payment service provider. We offer merchants around the world an omni-channel payment gateway with integrated services (e.g. fraud risk management, alternative payment methods, currency conversion) while reducing their exposure to pain (chargebacks, PCI-DSS compliance etc).

Role
1) Oversee the end to end development efforts across the MPGS Delivery team, which may include the technical oversight of a small team
2) Own the development of high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget
3) Perform functional and performance testing of solutions
4) Perform Code review ensuring code is optimized, easily maintainable and tracked in version control system
5) Participate in architectural decisions and product road mapping
6) Provide task estimates, level of complexity assessments, and provide input into scheduling of projects
All About You
• Overall Career Experience of 9-12 years into Software Development
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering concepts including Agile Methodologies is required.
• Comprehensive experience with the following: Object Oriented Programming (Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, Unix Shell, Oracle, API & batch application development.
• Proficient in at least 3 of the following SQL/NoSQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• Experience in build and operating a high scalable platforms with significant throughput (>10,000 TPS) and operates > 99.999% availability with global footprint
• Proficiency with Java JDK 8 or greater, Tomcat, Spring, Spring Boot, Shell Scripting, JSON, Docker, Kubernetes or other container orchestration solutions.
• Experience of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Source Control Management and working with code in a multi-developer that’s integrated with secure code coverage & static code coverage tools (e.g. SonarCube)
• Experience with developing & scaling microservices in a distributed environment.
Application Security including information security principles and realization, web app security and PCI DSS Compliance
• Demonstrate MC Core Competencies
• Ability to be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results.
• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – and strong relationship, collaboration skills, and organizational skills.
Advanced knowledge of Cloud platforms including Azure / AWS
• Expertise in Junit or other automated unit testing frameworks e.g. Karate.
• Deploying code with Kubernetes, Docker.
• Hands on experience of various coding methods and computer languages, Data modelling and database design experience, MicroServices Architecture
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of modern software engineering concepts and methodologies
• Passionate about code quality and coding best practices
• Show initiative and demonstrate a willingness to take on challenging opportunities
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks, and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to interface with external / internal resources, working as a member of a matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team
