What You'll Do

As a highly motivated and skilled software developer, you are expected to drive, deliver and lead through others, as well as personally working to reach innovative solutions to business problems. Collaborating with talented colleagues and cross-functional teams, you will design, implement, and qualify advanced solutions, seeing them through to customer delivery and ongoing support. You’ll play a key role in powering up and bringing to life some of the world’s most sophisticated networking systems.




Responsibilities:

In this role, we are looking for someone to help us expand and refine the capabilities of our wireless access points beyond simply Wi-Fi. As the world becomes more connected the need to support and simplify that connectivity grows.



As a lead wireless feature engineer, participate on multiple project teams of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation Wi-Fi products. Design and deliver new software and features for our next generation Wi-Fi Access Points. Day to day activities include architecting, designing, building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also work closely with system test and validation engineers to help with system test and integration.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 11+ years of experience with BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Advanced programming skills in C and/or C++ for embedded systems development.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in 802.11 protocols and solutions
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN routing/switching and other network layer protocols
  • Have strong systems and networking knowledge (systems architecture, memory hierarchy, storage subsystems, LANs, routing).
  • Are comfortable using network protocol analysers, hardware debuggers, and source-level debuggers to troubleshoot problems at all layers of the stack.
  • Excellent skills in working with multi-functional team like test, product management and customer support to deliver and maintain solutions.
  • Ability to work across multi-functional teams to discuss and close on the technical solutions.
  • Passionate about ensuring delivery with a high-level of Quality.
  • Self-motivated, strong sense of ownership, good team player
  • Be open to continuous learning and committed to ongoing self-improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in writing device drivers.
  • Have proven experience with Ethernet switching chipsets (i.e. Broadcom, Marvell, etc.).
  • Python scripting for automation
  • Experience in AI technologies.
  • Experience testing wireless devices.
