C13 - Individual Contributor (SAS/Python)



Job Title: MIS Analyst Level: C13 Location: India



Overall Objective:



This is a senior-level individual contributor role for an experienced professional with a background in the mortgage and retail banking industry. The primary objective is to leverage expertise in SAS and/or Python to develop and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS), create insightful visualizations, and support regulatory deliverables for our Risk or Marketing teams. This individual will be a subject matter expert in mortgage industry MIS and will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.



Key Responsibilities:



  • MIS Development: Design, develop, and maintain MIS reports and dashboards using SAS and/or Python to track key performance indicators and provide insights into business trends.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Perform in-depth data analysis and create compelling visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Mortgage Industry Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of the mortgage industry, including MIS and regulatory requirements, to ensure the accuracy and relevance of our reporting and analysis.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Support the delivery of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Data-driven Insights: Proactively identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Risk or Marketing teams.
  • Individual Contribution: Work as a high-performing individual contributor, taking ownership of projects and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:



  • Experience: 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor in a major bank, working within Risk or Marketing teams with a focus on the mortgage and retail banking industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Programming: Expertise in SAS or Python for data analysis, MIS, and visualization.
    • Database: Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
    • Visualization Tools: Experience with visualization libraries in Python (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn) or other visualization tools is a plus.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Mortgage Industry: Deep understanding of the mortgage industry, including key metrics, MIS, and regulatory deliverables.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
    • Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical mindset and a passion for working with data.
    • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex analysis to a non-technical audience.

Education:



Master's degree in Computer Science or Statistics is required.
