We are seeking an experienced Network Engineering Technical Leader to architect, implement, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding engineers, influencing strategic decisions, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of critical network services.

As part of the Cisco's Supply Chain organization, you will be an integral member of a cross-functional Autotest Applications and Operations engineering team. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software designers, quality engineers, and product engineers to ensure product excellence. Key Responsibilities




Technical Leadership & Strategy




Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of scalable, secure, and high-availability network solutions across data centers, cloud, and campus environments.



Define long-term network strategy aligned with business goals, including modernization, automation, and cloud networking initiatives.



Evaluate new technologies, conduct vendor assessments, and drive adoption of innovative solutions.




Network Engineering & Operations




Oversee configuration, maintenance, and optimization of routing, switching, firewalls, Catalyst Center, Nexus Dashboard, Secure Analytics, ThousandEyes, Intersight



Ensure network capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring.



Develop and enforce standards, documentation, and best practices for network design and operations.



Drive root-cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective actions.




Automation & Tooling




Develop or guide development of network automation workflows using tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, Cisco NSO, or similar.



Improve operational efficiency through automated provisioning, change management, and compliance checks.



Partner with SRE/DevOps teams to integrate networking into CI/CD pipelines.




Security & Compliance




Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security policies, segmentation, and Zero Trust architecture.



Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance through standardized configurations and audits.




Team Leadership & Collaboration




Provide technical mentorship, coaching, and guidance to network engineers.



Lead cross-functional collaborations with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams.



Represent the Network Engineering function in architecture reviews, project planning, and executive presentations.




Minimum Qualifications : -




8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering, including architecture and operations.



Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN, QoS).



Strong experience with firewalls, VPN, wireless, and load balancing technologies.



Proficiency in network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent).



Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure.



Ability to lead technical teams, drive complex projects, and influence stakeholders.



Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).



Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE, networking certs) are a plus.




Preferred Qualifications : -




Familiarity with observability platforms (Splunk, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics, Grafana).



Knowledge of network security frameworks (Zero Trust, SASE, NAC).



Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
