The RoleWe are currently seeking a full-time, highly professional, career-oriented engineer to join our monarch Platform applications team.
Platform Application Engineers are responsible for supporting the design and implementation of complex monarch architecture on active and incoming customer projects. This requires working closely with project teams to understand system requirements and use cases. Success in this role requires becoming the subject matter expert in monarch Platform principles and collaborating with the SMEs of other product areas that use the shared system platform.
Candidates must possess knowledge of information systems with at least an introduction to ‘C’ programming. Basic knowledge of utility SCADA operations and data management is preferred.Your Impact

• Work with OSI engineers and developers todetermineproper system configuration and design via SME ticket system in JIRA.
• Create andmaintaininternal documentation toassistengineers of all levels in configuring and troubleshooting systems.
• Identifyongoing or emerging problem areas of platform design, documentation, or implementation.
• TrainOSI engineers, 3rdparty implementers, andcustomers onplatform configuration andbest practices.
• In some scenarios–assiston staged or live customer systems to troubleshoot a single issue (via KVM, CSOC Bomgar, VPN, etc.).
• Maintaining a central repository and knowledge base ofWeb Platform and Platform Serverprinciples. Leveragingthis information to provide recommendations and guidance to customers, project teams, and 3rd party implementers.
• Increase andmaintainknowledge of messaging, networking, security best practices, MongoDB, NGINX, load balancing, etc.

What You'll Need

• Bachelorsof Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or relatedfield.
• 2+ years of Project Engineering experience.
• Strong analytical,problem solving, and troubleshootingskills.
• Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites.
• Ability to work independently, effectively manage time, and prioritize strategically.
• Knowledgeof MongoDB, NGINX, NATSmessaging,Multispeakstandard preferred.
• Experience withrelationaldatabases such asPostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL preferred.
