Role Overview:



This role aligns with Tech’s strategic goal of retaining design capabilities to strengthen capacity for End-User Services (EUS) objectives and to support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.



As a Principal Engineer-Collaboration, you will be responsible for owning, designing, and enforcing policies and security configurations that define standards and harden workspace endpoints.



You will work with the latest workspace technologies and applications, providing senior-level engineering expertise to design, build, and deploy solutions that modernize and secure the enterprise environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing collaboration technologies that empower seamless communication and productivity across the organization.



This position requires subject matter expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on leadership in delivering advanced collaboration solutions that improve the end-user experience while ensuring compliance and scalability.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, build, and delivery of Collaboration technologies and applications.



  • Define, implement, and maintain policies and security configurations in alignment with enterprise standards.



  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Collaboration technologies, guiding strategic decisions and technical implementations.



  • Drive continuous improvement of collaboration platforms, focusing on end-user experience and adoption.



  • Define and execute integration architectures, proof of concepts, and deployment models.



  • Ensure production readiness and technical quality of all Collaboration platforms.



  • Supervise and guide strategic partners and contract workers, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with enterprise goals.



  • Provide architectural leadership in collaboration solutions across multiple platforms and vendors.




Required Qualifications & Skills:



  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related discipline.



  • 10–15 years of overall industry experience.



  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in infrastructure operations in the field of Unified Comms & Collaboration



  • 4+ years in leading delivery of technical teams, support functions, and supplier management.



  • Hands on experience in Scripting technologies PowerShell/Python is required



  • Exp of working on Agile methodology is required



  • Exp in any Agentic AI tools are desirable



  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders.



  • Proven expertise in designing scalable, secure, and user-centric collaboration solutions.



  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on engineering levels.



  • Passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement in collaboration technology.
