With us, you can do something significant that benefits society and human progress Your new role – challenging and future-oriented Role Summary The Procurement Specialist (S&G) independently manages end-to-end procurement for a defined portfolio of S&G commodities such as Advisory Services, Product & Business Learning, HR/Executive Search, Market Research, Packaging, Office/Factory Supplies, PPE, Waste Management, Temporary Labor , etc. This is a strategic and operational role, accountable for category performance, supplier management, negotiations, compliance, and execution of long-term commodity strategies. The role demands strong ownership, analytical skills, commercial acumen, and capability to work closely with Business, Finance, Legal, EHS, HR, and global procurement teams. Key Responsibilities 1. E2E Commodity Ownership Manage the full lifecycle of procurement for assigned S&G categories. Define annual saving opportunities, demand pooling, and category planning. Drive sourcing events (RFx, negotiations, supplier comparison, award recommendations). Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with IM & Business priorities. Identify challenger suppliers, cost-down levers and innovation options. 2. Strategic Sourcing & Contracting Lead price benchmarking, market intelligence, and supplier landscape analysis. Prepare commercial terms, negotiate with suppliers, and manage contracts end-to-end. Work closely with Legal/Compliance/Tax for reviewing agreements and ensuring policy adherence. Ensure alignment with global frameworks wherever applicable (Advisory, Learning, Consulting, etc.). 3. Supplier Management & Performance Manage supplier relationships and performance KPIs (quality, delivery, compliance, responsiveness). Own supplier review meetings, escalation handling, and risk monitoring. Ensure all statutory, ESG, safety, and sustainability documentation is fully updated. Drive supplier onboarding, qualification, and due-diligence processes . 4. Stakeholder Management Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, EHS, Admin, Finance, Plants, and Project teams. Lead requirement clarification, specification alignment, and update business on procurement strategies. Be the primary contact for all S&G category decisions, escalations, and commercial guidance. Educate stakeholders on procurement governance, cost models, and compliance requirements. 5. Digital Procurement & Data Analytics Use SAP, Fieldglass (where relevant), and digital procurement tools efficiently. Maintain data accuracy for master data, catalogues, price lists, and material codes. Prepare monthly KPIs, MIS decks, spend analysis, savings tracking, and supplier scorecards. Identify digitalization opportunities to improve procurement efficiency. 6. ESG, Sustainability & Compliance Integrate sustainability considerations into supplier selection & category strategy. Ensure compliance with DoA, SDD/QES, statutory regulations, and internal audit readiness. Support Waste Management, Packaging Sustainability, and circularity initiatives (where relevant). We don’t need superheroes, just super minds Qualifications Graduate (Engineering/Commerce/Supply Chain); MBA preferred. 3–7 years of hands-on experience in indirect procurement / category management. Mandatory: Strong SAP experience; exposure to Fieldglass is an advantage . Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation and commercial skills. Analytical and data-driven mindset (Excel/Power BI). Clear communication, stakeholder alignment and conflict-handling ability. Ability to work independently with end-to-end ownership. Strong compliance orientation and attention to detail.
