Overview
• The Enterprise Monitoring Team is responsible for the analysis and design of all Infrastructure and Applications monitoring at MasterCard.
• Enterprise Monitoring is engaged early in the project life cycle to ensure monitoring is built in from the beginning and meets the sizing and performance requirements of each application.
• The primary responsibility involves support and infrastructure designs for Splunk, adhering to MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices.
• Requires a deep understanding of hardware, networking, security and tools used to monitor, test and evaluate those technologies.

• Collaborate with development teams to implement and configure Splunk across different application environments
• Interface with project managers to provide status updates of projects
• Interact with the development and project teams to transform business and technical requirements into logical and physical architecture design
• Create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market
• Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise
All About You
• Advanced knowledge with Unix/Linux platform OS
• Advanced knowledge with common middleware technologies, load balancer, and web server
• Advanced at Systems Design and Architecture
• Splunk administration experience (hardware/software/patching/upgrades) in clustered environment & Multi-Cluster environment.
• Programming and development skills in at least some of the following: Python, Shell Scripting, regular expressions, Jenkins, Chef, Ansible
• knowledge/experience in UNIX/Linux system administration tasks. license management, security, networking, distributed server, and web technology environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement and configure Splunk across different application environments.
• Interact with the development and project teams to transform business and technical requirements into logical and physical architecture design to implement project.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise.
• Install and manage Splunk forwarders, indexers, search heads and configure.
• Create and manage configuration files like indexes and source types, inputs, props, transforms, and lookups.
• Implement KV stores, lookups, and data model acceleration to optimize search performance and reporting.
• Experience working with CI/CD, Microservices Architectures, Public Cloud Providers
• Experience integrating multiple data streams, onboarding new data sources, and feeds from networks, infrastructure services, business applications.
• Experience with vulnerability management and security / hardening concepts.
• Application dashboard troubleshooting and capturing baseline performance deviations or highlighting key trends in data.
• Knowledge of how to customize Dashboards via the XML, advanced XML source, JavaScript, CSS, advanced HTML.
• Ability to create Knowledge Objects administer users and roles. create advanced searches, reports, and visualizations.
• Ability to create complex regular expressions for masking / transformation.
