Overview
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager for our Core Payments - Networks Exchange team to lead and coordinate customer-focused projects, platforms, and infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about enhancing customer experiences, highly motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
Role
• Project Management: Plan and oversee a portfolio of related technology projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery.
• Customer Focus: Prioritize customer experience, streamline build and delivery processes, and address key challenges.
• Technical Expertise: Understand the design approaches, technologies, and business/technical requirements for the solutions being developed.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with multiple scrum teams, align dependent organizations, and resolve blockers to keep projects on track.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, escalating issues when necessary.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, track, and mitigate risks and issues at various levels.
• Vendor Partnerships: Collaborate with vendors on technology and user experience components, aligning on implementation plans and roadmaps to boost development efficiency.
• Trade-Off Decisions: Support customers and engineering teams in balancing business goals, technical strategy, customer experience, and system maintainability.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly review metrics and implement new data-driven methods to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
All About You
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/education required; PMP certification preferred.
• Experience: Proven expertise in strategy, planning, and project management across various methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, SAFe).
• Communication: Strong, clear, and precise written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Mastercard and the card payments industry is a plus.
• Skills: Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and negotiation skills; adaptable to change with a track record of building internal and external relationships.
