As part of the Integration Design Team within IBM Software, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the user experience for IBM's cutting-edge integration products that power enterprise transformation across hybrid cloud and AI.





Your role and responsibilities
  • Lead UX strategy and execution for one or more product areas within IBM's Integration portfolio, including AI-powered features and workflows.
  • Translate business and user needs into innovative design solutions that are elegant, accessible, and technically feasible.
  • Design intuitive interfaces for AI-driven experiences such as intelligent assistants, predictive analytics, and generative design tools.
  • Demonstrate competency in designing for AI by showcasing a deep understanding of how users interact with intelligent systems-addressing aspects like trust, transparency, explainability, and user control.
  • Present case studies or portfolio examples that highlight successful design of AI features, including the problem space, design approach, user research insights, and measurable impact.
  • Facilitate design workshops, stakeholder reviews, and user research sessions to inform and validate AI-related design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visuals using industry-standard tools like Figma.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles across the product lifecycle, especially in the context of emerging AI capabilities.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to design best practices and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with IBM Design Language.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the user experience through data, feedback, and usability testing, including testing of AI-driven interactions.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • 8+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing enterprise or complex system design.
  • Experience designing for AI-powered products or features, including conversational interfaces, intelligent automation, or data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Mural
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead design initiatives and influence product direction.


Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience designing for cloud, integration, or developer-focused products.
    Understanding of AI concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design.
  • Background in HCI, Design Thinking, or related disciplines.
  • Prior experience in mentoring or leading design teams.
