Business Unit Manager

Job Scope

The Business Unit Manager is accountable for promoting and growing the company solutions and services while providing strategic direction, overseeing financial plans and analyzing performance and efficiency. S/He develops and maintains strategic partnerships with vendors and partners and promotes a customer centric environment at all times.




Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the growth and profitability of the business unit through providing strategic direction and expanding the portfolio of the company in areas related to business intelligence, database management and mobile solutions to name a few
  • Participate in the preparation of the financial plan, cascade to the team and ensure its proper implementation while analyzing and controlling expenses and targets on a continuous basis
  • Meet with vendors and partners at the beginning of the fiscal year to commit on the business plan, define targets and agree upon levels of involvement
  • Oversee the preparation of periodic reports and review performance with the concerned leadership team on a regular basis
  • Evaluate current business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement procedures maximizing efficiency and standardization
  • Prepare periodic forecasts and update the management with related reports and analysis
  • Establish and maintain sound strategic relationships with vendors and partners in alignment with the company's strategy and upgrade agreements when and if necessary
  • Track credit and/or payment performance, review outstanding settlements and manage resolutions accordingly
  • Stay abreast of technological developments and review current vendor and/or product list and promotional approaches accordingly
  • Identify country risks and assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies in coordination with concerned departments
  • Foster a sustainable customer service culture, monitor customer satisfaction and manage complaints with utmost priority
  • Ensure proper interaction and communication between the department, other business departments and top management


Position Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management or any other related field.




Experience

Minimum 10–12 years of experience in IT Sales and/or Pre-Sales within the IT/technology sector.


Proven experience in managing sales and pre-sales teams.


Strong exposure to channel and distribution models (vendors, partners, resellers).


Proven record in driving sales performance, achieving targets, and managing complex accounts.
