Job Summary:
As a QA Automation Engineer at Soum, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our platform. You will work on a test and automated approach in the sprint model for mobile applications and web applications. A good grip of both is equally important but having a strong grip on mobile automation is a MUST. We need passionate and hardworking candidates who love their work and breathe automation. Someone who has the mindset of a QA but the skill set of a developer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Plan automation test suites with the help of the manual team, review and plan end-to-end test cases, and estimations of the test plan.
• Framework designing: Ability to design a strong framework that is scalable and maintainable. 
• Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Translate test cases into test scripts.
• Maintenance of test scripts after every release.
• Test Report: Maintain quality reports for automation for each release and sprint test.
• Regression Testing: Continuously monitor and execute automated regression tests to ensure the stability of the platform.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing using load and performance testing tools like Jmeter to ensure the platform can handle peak loads and respond efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies related to QA and automation, and apply them to improve testing processes.
• Eagerness to learn new tools, and techniques to improve the product continuously.
• Grip on databases.
• Candidates should also have knowledge of data-driven testing, POM, and cross-platform testing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 4 years or plus as a Mobile Automation Engineer or similar role, with a focus on mobile application automation and web automation.
• Strong understanding of software development, programming concepts, and web technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. JavaScript, Java).
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, detox, Appium).
• Grip on mobile automation tools and frameworks for iOS and Android.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and use of one of the tools like Jenkins.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of database and SQL queries.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms is a plus.
• Good team spirit.
