We are looking for an experienced QC Inspector (Painting / Coating) to join our Oil & Gas project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will ensure that all painting and coating works meet project specifications, international quality standards, and safety requirements. This position offers hands-on field exposure and the opportunity to work on a high-profile project with a reputed contracting company.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspection and quality control of painting and coating works as per project standards and specifications.



  • Verify surface preparation, environmental conditions, and coating applications before, during, and after painting.



  • Ensure proper documentation, including inspection reports, calibration certificates, and coating system data sheets.



  • Conduct visual and DFT (Dry Film Thickness) inspections and ensure compliance with applicable standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO, etc.).



  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives for inspection and approval activities.



  • Identify and report non-conformances and support corrective and preventive actions.



  • Ensure all safety and environmental protocols are strictly followed during painting/coating operations.




Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering



  • Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience



  • Industry Background: Strong Oil & Gas experience with contracting companies engaged in:



    • Refineries, Petrochemical & Fertilizer Projects



    • Shutdowns & Turnarounds



    • Fabrication & Erection of Storage Tanks, Piping, and Structural Steel



  • Certifications (Preferred): NACE Level II / BGAS / SSPC certification
