Work with the assigned team to install hull piping systems and outfitting components by interpreting technical drawings, managing tools and materials, and ensuring proper installation of pipes, gaskets, and fittings, to deliver high-quality, safe, and timely execution of outfitting works in compliance with project specifications and the IMI Management System standards, including Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) requirements.
1. Support the safe and timely execution of all assigned hull outfitting tasks in alignment with project schedules and safety protocols
2. Interpret hull piping diagrams and installation drawings to guide accurate and efficient installation activities.
3. Operate installation tools and conventional measuring devices effectively to support precise fitting and alignment.
4. Monitor the installation of various pipes and gaskets as per installation drawings and technical specifications.
5. Apply comprehensive knowledge of bolts, nuts, fittings, and related components to ensure proper assembly and secure connections.
6. Coordinate the timely supply and distribution of materials and components to relevant teams to maintain workflow continuity.
7. Verify the availability and validity of required work permits (Hot, Cold, Isolation, etc.) before commencing any activity.
8. Lead participation in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings, and assess potential risks associated with job tasks.
9. Demonstrate full alignment with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) responsibilities, in accordance with IMI Management System standards
•Diploma degree or equivalent qualification
•At least 9 years’ experience in the Offshore Oil or Gas Construction, Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.
•Technical certification in the related field.
•Familiar with the common ship materials and components
•Experience in using electrical, hydraulic, and manual tools.
•Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (such as face- shield, gloves etc.,)
•Must be able to install piping and steel outfitting according to the production drawings. There are many piping and steel outfitting to be installed in Hull and Deck of the vessel such as Ballast pipes, Cargo oil pipes, Steam pipes and Hydraulic oil pipes etc.
•Familiar with measurement devices
•Familiar with mechanical manufacturing method, mechanical design, and mechanical materials
•Good Communication Skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
