Job Description:



Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Executive Advisor - Master Planning to join our team! In this role, you will get to provide strategic advisory and oversight on master planning, urban development, landscape, mobility, and governance initiatives to ensure alignment with best practices, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder expectations.




What You'll Be Doing:




Master Planning & Advisory



  • Provide expert guidance on master planning, urban development, landscape design, mobility solutions, and governance frameworks.



  • Evaluate and provide strategic insights on portfolio projects, ensuring alignment with urban planning best practices.



  • Develop and implement policies, frameworks, and guidelines to improve planning processes and governance structures.



  • Conduct comparative analysis of regulatory frameworks to enhance master planning methodologies.




Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration



  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.



  • Engage with government agencies, private developers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless integration of planning initiatives.



  • Represent the team in meetings with Development Companies (DevCos) and consultants, offering expert insights and recommendations.



  • Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure planning strategies align with broader project and organizational goals.




Governance & Compliance



  • Lead and contribute to governance investigations and procedural improvements, enhancing regulatory and operational frameworks.



  • Identify opportunities to enhance regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to local and international planning standards.



  • Support the development of standardized templates, processes, and models to improve efficiency in master planning.




Knowledge Transfer & Team Development



  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance team expertise and professional development.



  • Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and oversight on planning tasks.



  • Develop training materials, best practice documentation, and advisory reports to support continuous learning.



  • Promote a collaborative and high-performing team culture, encouraging innovation and knowledge exchange.




Research & Continuous Improvement



  • Conduct industry research and analysis to integrate the latest trends and best practices into master planning strategies.



  • Identify and implement value-added initiatives, including improvements to planning methodologies, RFP models, and design guidelines.



  • Contribute to weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports, providing insights and recommendations on planning initiatives.



What Required Skills You'll Bring:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.



  • 15+ years of experience in master planning, urban development, governance frameworks, and stakeholder collaboration.



  • Extensive expertise in urban planning, master planning, and mobility solutions.



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to evaluate and improve planning frameworks.



  • In-depth knowledge of planning policies, governance structures, and regulatory compliance.



  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into clear recommendations.



  • Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and other planning-related software (preferred).
