Job Description:



Parsons are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Field Engineer – Civil (Airfield) Saudi National to support the execution of civil works on a major airport airfield and runway development project.




The role involves on-site supervision, technical coordination, and quality control of civil construction activities, ensuring works are delivered in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and aviation regulations. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in civil engineering works, preferably within airport, airfield, or large-scale infrastructure projects.




What You'll Be Doing;



  • Oversee and support daily civil construction activities including earthworks, pavement works, drainage, utilities, and concrete works.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with IFC drawings, technical specifications, and approved method statements.
  • Provide technical guidance to site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in conducting inspections, material approvals, and quality checks in coordination with QA/QC teams.
  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards, airport authority requirements, and applicable codes.
  • Identify non-conformances and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with survey teams for setting out, level checks, alignments, and tolerances for runway, taxiway, and apron works.
  • Verify as-built conditions and support preparation of as-built drawings.
  • Coordinate with planning, HSE, QA/QC, and construction teams to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
  • Support resolution of site technical issues, RFIs, and design clarifications.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Promote safe working practices in active airfield or airside-controlled environments.
  • Support implementation of permit-to-work systems and airside safety requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring;



  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Site Engineer on infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
  • Experience in airport, airfield, runway, or highway projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of pavement works (asphalt, concrete), earthworks, drainage, and utilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and basic engineering software.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working within airside operational environments and airport authority procedures.
  • Familiarity with ICAO, FAA, or local aviation authority standards.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC documentation, inspection test plans (ITPs), and site records.
  • Experience with document control systems such as Aconex or similar platforms.
  • Valid airside driving permit (ADP) or eligibility to obtain one is a plus.
