Job Description:



Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Department Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to provides senior professional oversight, technical guidance, training and support. Manages safety audit efforts and oversees implementation of safety initiatives. Collaborates with senior operational management in meeting established safety and risk goals and objectives.




What You’ll Be Doing



  • Experience in managing all aspects of HSSE on projects or facilities. Extensive experience in implementing and managing HSSE training programs.



  • Broad knowledge of engineering and construction systems, methods and work processes.



  • Knowledge of HSSE sciences/engineering systems, principles and methodologies.



  • Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of national and international HSSE laws/regulations and regulatory/resource agencies permitting processes and responsibilities, industry standards for HSSE compliance and best management practices for minimizing potential HSSE impacts during project execution.



  • Knowledge of technical terminology common to industrial hygiene, health physics, safety engineering, and environmental compliance.



  • Expertise must have been gained from working or Western Internationally reputed firms.



  • Must have led large T&C Section with top international firms an on prestigious projects.



  • Ability to deal effectively with HSSE matters with contractors/subcontractors or consultants during construction.



  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.



  • Experience of working internationally (preference KSA experience).



  • Inspects work area, construction sites, machinery, equipment and working conditions for compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations.



  • Coordinates/Communicates with contractors, RCM’s/RCE’s to rectify/resolve safety issues. Ensures a culture of safety training to other engineers/inspectors and contractors.



  • Ensures the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety, and fire prevention equipment, PPE and first aid supplies



  • Implement Corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Policy, HSE Plan, HSE legislation, and other requirements.



  • Monitor HSE performance and HSE targets, and enable measures for further improvement.



  • Review and monitor Contractor’s monthly HSE inspections / reports.



  • Conduct monthly Safety meetings, set the target to achieve the outstanding issues, and prepare / submit the minutes to all concerned to follow up.




What Required Skills You’ll Bring:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mech/Elect/Structural Engineering with a minimum of twenty (20) year’s post-graduate professional experience in the field of Health and Safety.



  • Possess computer literacy and capable to operate current computer safety programs.



  • The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.



  • Ability to conduct safety, CPR techniques and first aid training program.



  • Specific technical requirements are:



  • Must have the ability to lead and initiate, influence and establish a Safety culture across a program with multiple stakeholders. with minimum supervision and engage proactively with Employer, Construction staff and contractor personnel.
