Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Manager – Design with a minimum of 10 years of experience, specifically within a reputable design consultancy company. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in implementing and managing quality assurance and quality control procedures for design deliverables, ensuring compliance with international standards, project requirements, and client expectations.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for design projects in compliance with ISO and industry standards.
  • Review and approve design deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Establish and monitor QA/QC procedures for design teams, including drawing reviews, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits and quality reviews of design processes to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to design staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders regarding quality requirements and ensure their satisfaction with design outputs.
  • Prepare and present quality reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and audit findings to senior management and clients.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of design outputs.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is properly controlled, archived, and in compliance with QA/QC requirements.

Requirements


  • Manage Design Quality assurance and control activities on all projects within design services.
  • Monitor Department Performance Management (KPI’s and Objectives)
  • Ensure Performance of quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including sub-consultants design packages.
  • Effectively documents, follows-up and closes corrective actions - both internal and external. Analyses findings/ issues/ non-conformances identified during design review and audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data.
  • Collaborates with management for interface on Quality activities internally or with external organizations.
  • Review and update the design Quality procedures in collaboration with design services management.
  • Conduct orientation/trainings to the design staff for DAR internal Design quality procedures and project specific procedures or standards.
  • Initiate interdisciplinary coordination meetings on major quality issues during project execution.
  • Develop and implement motivational awards to enhance quality culture.
  • Highlight to top management all major quality issues
  • Facilitates all internal and external Quality audits and briefs management with the results.
  • Conduct quality risk assessment and identify potential quality risks on the projects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implements corrective action for design quality issues.
  • Perform analysis on the outcomes of design quality assurance and control process by utilizing effective quality tools.
