Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Estimator to join our team! In this role you will support the estimation process by performing a variety of estimating tasks on a major project.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Quantity Takeoffs: Prepares material takeoffs from drawings, plans, and specifications for assigned project components.

  
  
  

• Scope Analysis: Assists in reviewing contractual documents to determine project scope, exclusions, and potential changes.

  
  
  

• Cost Breakdown: Develops basic component-level estimates, including assigning rates and performing necessary calculations.

  
  
  

• Vendor Engagement: Contacts suppliers and subcontractors to obtain price quotations for materials, labor, and services.

  
  
  

• Historical Data Management: Collects and organizes historical cost information to support future estimates and refine database accuracy.

  
  
  

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintains estimate logs and supports preparation of bid packages and cost summaries.

  
  
  

• Team Collaboration: Works with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment and consistency in estimating approaches.

  
  
  

• Learning & Development: Receives guidance from senior estimators and actively builds knowledge of company procedures and industry best practices.

  
  
  

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

  
  
  

• 5 years of relevant experience in estimating or related project controls functions.

  
  
  

• Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail.

  
  
  

• Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools is a plus.
