About the Job


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recreation Manager to join Sports & Leisure for Jumeirah Zabeel Saray


The main duties and responsibilities of this role include: 


  • Oversees multiple resort leisure facilities and programs, including pools, watersports, kids and teens clubs, tennis courts, cinema, and resort activations/events, ensuring smooth and engaging guest experiences. 
  • Manages daily operations and staffing within the Sports & Leisure Department, including scheduling, cleanliness, maintenance follow-ups, and operational walk-throughs. 
  • Leads team performance and development, conducting regular meetings, training sessions, coaching, and performance appraisals to maintain high service standards. 
  • Coordinates cross-departmental initiatives, such as sunlounger service with F&B, marketing plans, and guest feedback handling, ensuring seamless collaboration and guest satisfaction. 
  • Handles administrative and strategic tasks, including SOP updates, document approvals, membership sales, market research, and acting as Duty Manager when required.

About You


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • The candidate brings solid experience in managing Sports and Leisure operations within a large 5-star resort, including handling resort memberships and delivering exceptional guest experiences. 
  • They demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, effectively managing large teams while maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction. 
  • With a results-driven mindset, they are highly organized, commercially focused, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and achieve targets. 
  • Technologically proficient and culturally aware, they possess excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for customer care, and a commitment to upholding the company’s guiding principles.
