About the Job
An opportunity has arisen for a Sommelier to join the SAL team in Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of various types of wines, wineries, and wine regions to provide informed recommendations to guests.
• Take charge of creating and updating wine menus, as well as managing the wine cellar to ensure a diverse and high-quality selection.
• Supervise wine service and collaborate with winemakers to continually upgrade wine selections and offerings.
• Interact with the guests to assist with their wine choices and enhance their overall experience.
• Manage relationships with wine suppliers, negotiate contracts, and create wine lists that align with the establishment's standards and objectives.
• Conduct comprehensive wine training sessions for staff to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in relevant role within the international luxury hospitality industry in a similar role.
• Fluency in English, with knowledge of an additional language.
• Minimum WSET Level 3 or CMS Certified.
