Objectives of the Position
- Drives the profitable business growth in Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), India:
- Implementation of regional strategies in India
- Drives local profitable business growth, detailed business planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Manages overall India TPU direct team cost in line with budget, ensure cost effectiveness, oversees expenditures all sales/local Technical Development (TD) activities
- Local execution of regional pricing strategy (limit and target prices)
- Provides market surveillance/market intelligence for China and their affiliates
- Maintains customer relationship management and ensures customer satisfaction within country
- Establishes and fosters relationships with strategic customers, coordinates with Global Key Accounts active in specific country
- Develops and lead implementation of account plans
- Explores, identifies and develops new business and customers – drive and implement new application, product development and customer strategy to achieve targets
- Supports launch of new products at key customers
- Steers resources in accordance with strategies and AD/TS service level plans and in line with customer management (segmentation, business rules)
- Coordinate CS activities in sales relevant processes
- Represents the company in trade and professional organizations to stay in touch with market trends and provides input for fairs and conferences participation (as needed/within country)
- People Management: Leadership (team development, resource / succession planning)
- Provides leadership to the sales, local TD/AD & TS organization
- Contributes to manpower and succession planning
- Develop and retain a competent business team per business needs
Key Shared Accountabilities:
- With Regional Business Unit/Business Manager Head:
- Aligns country-specific business strategy and targets with RBU
- With Marketing/Strategy:
- Contributes to elaboration of marketing strategies
- Supports regional product/application launch at selected customers
- Participates in strategic initiatives
- With PMD/TD:
- Generates ideas and contributes to innovations (products/applications/services)
- Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)
- Education - Master or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering, Plastics Technology, Polymer/Materials Science, Business Management
- Working Experience -
- More than 8 years in the chemical industry with sales and marketing experience.
- More than 3 years of people leadership experience
Preferably experience in handling budget; cost and financials
Technical & Professional Knowledge -
- Preferably with background from engineering plastics or Polyurethane or Thermoplastic Polyurethane
- Experienced in project management and executions
